VW Up! prices revealed

Volkswagen has revealed prices for the new up! will start at £7,995. Limited-edition flagship models will cost £11,180.
Order books have already opened, and the car will arrive in showrooms next spring.
Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the three-door up! will be available with a choice of three 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engines – one of which will offer fuel saving Bluemotion technologies.
Trim levels include the Take up!, Move up! and High up! – and there are two specials edition, the up! black and up! white. A five-door version is expected to join the line-up in the second half of 2012.

Chevrolet Cruze hatchback prices

A month ahead of its on sale date, Chevrolet has named its price for the Cruze hatchback – a value-for-money rival to the Ford Focus.
Available with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel (a smaller oil-burner is also on the way), the Cruze comes in three trim levels – LS, LT and LTZ – and is backed up by a five year warranty. Kicking off the range is the 122bhp 1.6 LS, costing £13,995 and kitted out with air-conditioning, remote locking, electric-front windows and aux input.

Hyundai i40 Tourer prices announced

On sale in September, the stylish i40 Tourer (which goes on sale before the saloon) will start from £18,395 – £550 cheaper than the lowest-priced Mondeo.
It will be available in three main trim levels – Active, Style and Premium – with the choice of a 1.7-litre diesel and a 1.6 or 2.0-litre petrol engine, four power outputs and manual or automatic transmission. Hyundai’s Blue Drive technologies – incorporating stop-start – are fitted as standard on all Active derivatives, and on the Style 1.7 CRDi 136PS Blue Drive model ensuring CO2 emissions of 119g/km.
