Here’s an Audi that should deliver loads of performance. It’s the new S6 Avant, which our eagle-eyed photographers have caught lapping the Nurburgring before it goes on sale next year.
By adding a load bay to the standard S6 formula, the Avant aims to cater for those who want storming pace mixed with family-plus-luggage practicality and continent-crossing ability. Like its saloon sibling, which we snapped earlier this week. The booted S6 is identified by its discreetly larger bumpers and side-skirts, wheelarch-filling alloys and quad exhausts.

Audi unveils R8 GT Spyder

You’ve already seen Audi’s flagship R8 GT Coupe and last week we brought you exclusive pictures and details on its drop-top sibling. But now we can go one better with the first images of the R8 GT Spyder in the metal.
Unveiled last weekend at the Le Mans 24-hour race, Audi treated thousands of motorsport fans to the world debut. And the newcomer got its fair share of attention with its matt grey paint job.

Audi wins Le Mans 24 Hours

Audi secured its seventh Le Mans 24 Hours win of the last eight years during one of the most memorable races in the event’s history that saw two of the Audis crash out in spectacular fashion.
Audi’s No. 2 R18 TDI led the race from pole position to take the chequered flag despite being pushed by all the way by Peugeot’s 908s. Over the course of 24 hours, the margin between the first place Audi and second place Peugeot was just 13 seconds.

Audi S7 spy shots

It’s not the first time we’ve caught Audi’s pumped-up CLS-rival in the open, see the fully-camouflaged car here, but these are the first shots of it undisguised. And on the evidence of these pictures, the S7 is ready to roll.
Despite an absence of badges to give the game away, it’s clear that this is the first of a pair of V8-powered A7′s on the way. Wearing quad exhaust pipes, a bodykit and beefed-up wheel arches the subtle makeover reveals this is the S7 variant – due to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Audi R8 GT Spyder storms in

It’s the Audi that’s taking direct aim at Lamborghini. These are the first official images of the new R8 GT Spyder – a limited run drop-top that might just have kicked off an in-house supercar war. Audi claims it can do 0-62mph faster than fellow VW Group-owned Lamborghini’s stripped-out Gallardo Performante.
Built off the same architecture and sharing the same basic engine and gearbox, the two supercars have both had excess weight hacked from their frames in an effort to find more speed.
