Vauxhall Astra Convertible sketch

This is the first picture of Vauxhall’s new Astra-based convertible, officially released by Vauxhall just a day after we spotted a prototype out testing in Germany.
As you can see, the new drop-top is a genuine four-seater that will effectively replace the old Astra TwinTop sitting at the top of the new Astra range.The big difference here though is that a fabric roof will replace the current folding hard top set-up, saving weight and improving the car’s dynamics and efficiency.

Vauxhall Astra Convertible spied

These are the first pictures of Vauxhall’s new Astra-based convertible, spied almost undisguised in Germany.
The new drop-top is a four-seater that will effectively replace the old Astra TwinTop sitting at the top of the new Astra range. As you can see, iits lengthened body suggests that this version will be much more spacious than the old TwinTop, with room in the back for two adults with decent boot space.

Vauxhall Astra GTC first offiicial pics

THE fight for three-door ‘coupé’ honours just got even fiercer. Vauxhall’s striking new Astra GTC is here – and the sporty hatch sits between two of its biggest rivals on price.
The range starts at £18,495 for the 118bhp 1.4-litre Sport Turbo – that’s £265 more than a 128bhp 1.4-litre TCE Renault Mégane coupé, but £1,080 cheaper than the 120bhp VW Scirocco 1.4-litre TSI. And the Astra will be good looking, too. It’s near identical to the GTC concept car, revealed at last year’s Paris Motor Show, and doesn’t share any body panels with the regular five-door.

New Astra VXR spy video

Our spies have caught Vauxhall’s flagship hot hatch testing at the ‘ring! This latest video is also the closest we’ve come to seeing what the new Astra VXR is capable of on track.
Dubbed the Opel GTC OPC in Europe, the VXR’s design is strikingly similar to the three-door GTC, with the same swept back shape accentuated by bigger wheels and lowered suspension.

Vauxhall Astra GTC revealed

Finally, it’s official… We revealed the best spy shots yet of Vauxhall’s new three-door Astra here – but only now has the company released approved pictures of the sleek, production-ready car.
The roadgoing version retains the dramatic styling of the model seen at last year’s Paris Motor Show, including the deep new front grille, blistered wheelarches and swept-back LED ‘eyebrow’ headlights.
